Who I Am

How do triathlon and jesus go together?

1 Corinthians 10:31

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

I love to compete, to train, to work hard for a goal. My favorite feeling is looking at my workout for the day and thinking how hard it’s going to be, how much effort it will take, then going and doing it anyway. I love that moment when you’re taking a breath and thinking: there’s no way the oxygen I need is going to make it to my legs so I can take one more step, pedal, or stroke. And then you do.

I believe God made me this way for a reason and I’m excited to use my love of triathlon to further His love for others. I compete under the Fellowship of Christian Athletes banner, because every podium I stand on, while wearing that gear, is one more audience who can hear about Jesus.

I hope this blog entertains you. I hope it makes you laugh. I hope you can relate to the struggles of motherhood and the pains of training hard for a sport you love. I hope you enjoy seeing a glimpse of my life here in the pseudo-country, but most of all I hope you tune in for the stories, because “to tell you my story is to tell of Him.”

I am a hardcore triathlete, but I have a lot to learn. For example, I just recently discovered there are such things as professional triathletes. This is rocking my world and has set my sights on a whole new level of competition. Follow me on this journey as I strive to transition from amateur to pro.
